[Supply Chain Management]

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining an end-to-end daily automatic retail ordering system.
This system receives ~2 million products (~100k unique) every day. Based on the state of the supply chain, the system decides where to allocate products for optimal redundancy and warehouse utilization.

  • Developed and launched a new feature to allow the ordering system to optimally place one product for multiple different delivery dates in a single order while taking into account product inventory and updated orders.
Created the technical proposal, test plan, implemented the feature and worked with a product manager to launch the feature in 5 months.

  • Improved notification system for the ordering system on Slack to help business analysts to monitor their orders without the engineering complexity.

  • Migrated product-shuffling service from Python2 to Python3 and reduced algorithm runtime by 75%.

  • Created front-end UI for the upcoming labor capacity prediction tool in Vue.
Integrated the frontend with back-end Java service to submit workflow, track workflow, and display metrics.
